How to Apply
All of textile DTF transfers are Hot peel – peel whilst still warm
Step 1 – Pre-Press
Unless you are using a Heat Press with a lower heat plate, it is important to always pre-press your material.
This will remove any moisture from the garment, and give the best smooth finish for application.
Step 2 – Pressing
Place your transfer in position – it may be helpful to use a heat tape to place, if you struggle with the transfer moving during application.
Recommended settings – these are guidelines, and we recommend you carry out your own test application and wash tests, depending on fabric
Cotton Garments – 130-150c press for 15-20 seconds, hot peel- depending on heat press
Polyester Garments – 120c press for 20 seconds, hot peel. We recommend a lower temperature to avoid scorch marks on the garment
Removing the film – peel from the largest surface print area end. Peeling from the largest area first will help ensure small detailing adheres. If very small detail, we recommend rubbing over the film prior to peeling quickly with a micro fibre cloth, and then peeling away. This helps ensure that all detail is adhered.
Once the transfer film is removed, we recommend a Secondary After press for 10-15 seconds on tight knit fabrics, 15 seconds on open weave polo shirts or other garments.
We recommend leaving the print to cool completely prior to folding. Do not wash the print for the first 24 hours.
Washing recommendations – We recommend washing the garment inside out, washing at max. temp 30c. Do not tumble dry. Wash separately from heavyweight items, such as jeans/coveralls.
How to apply UV DTF - for hard surfaces.
How to apply:
- Prepare the surface:
Ensure the surface is clean – if a used product, recommend cleaning with an alcohol solution.
- Position the transfer:
Peel the backing paper off the UV DTF transfer, carefully aligning the design to your desired position on the surface.
- Apply pressure with a squeegee:
Use a squeegee to firmly press down on the transfer, starting from the centre and working your way out to the edges, ensuring no air bubbles are trapped.
- Remove the carrier sheet:
Slowly peel away the clear transfer film from the surface, being careful not to lift the transfer with it.
Please note UV DTF is not suitable for dishwashers
